May 2026 delivered one of the strongest months for the microcap IPO market this year, with five IPOs pricing during the month, matching the total completed during all of Q1 2026. The most notable shift was the return of domestic issuers, which accounted for four of the five completed IPOs, a significant reversal from May 2025 when foreign private issuers dominated the market. While overall deal volume remains below prior-year levels, companies that successfully reached the public markets generally raised more capital per transaction, highlighting the continued selectivity of today's listing environment. Direct listings also continued to gain traction, providing additional pathways to the public markets.
